Delivering the Auction Experience to Anywhere in the World
Proxibid’s platform provides the most seamless live bidding experience on the Web. Proxibid works with industry-leading streaming providers that boast the highest quality, lowest-latency audio and video streams available online.
That means fast!
But How Fast is Fast?
Good question. On average, low-latency audio and video streams on the web have a natural 1-3 second delay. It is important to understand a user’s experience with Proxibid’s audio and video stream depends on a number of factors beyond Proxibid’s control, such as Internet connection at the sale site, Internet connection at the buyer’s location and the buyer’s Internet browser.
As a buyer, we recommend logging on from a location with an up/down rate of at least .5 Mbps. 3G and 4G Connections are not recommended. Sound a little confusing? You can test your internet connection by visiting www.speedtest.net. Your Internet ping rate should register at 500ms or less for optimal audio/video performance on Proxibid.
To ensure a buyer never misses a beat in the live auction format, we recommend relying on Proxibid’s audio and video stream for entertainment purposes only. Audio and video is a great way to get an actual view of the item being sold or to experience the auctioneer. When placing a bid, it is best to rely on the Bid Button of Proxibid’s live bidding application for real time updates. Our live bidding app operates at speeds less than 250 milliseconds. That’s about as real time as it gets.
Not all sellers choose to take advantage of Proxibid’s streaming services. If audio/video is not available for a particular event, the controls will display “Audio/Video not available.”
